NURSE CLINICIAN

The Division of Surgical Oncology seeks a Nurse Clinician to provide and support patient care in conjunction with clinical trials research in breast cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.

Duties:

• Recruit and evaluate patients for inclusion into clinical trials. Assist in developing nursing care procedures for subjects of protocol.
• Provide consultation to subject and family to obtain consent. Provide an assessment of subject needs concerning protocol.
• Under physician direction provide patient care including administering medications, collecting samples and monitoring patient compliance with protocol.
• Compile, retrieve and analyze research data. Work as a resource for subjects, families and other health care professionals. Develop patient teaching materials. Assist with protocol forms.

Minimum qualifications:

Registered nurse in the state of Missouri. Two to four years of nursing experience is required. Posession of a license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of missouri. Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing. Two years clinical trials experience. Knowledge of databases, excel, and/or spreadsheets.

FTE: 100 percent.

Working hours: M-F 8-5 (can vary)
